CAT

The cat is one of the most popular pets in the world. There are over six  hundreds million domestic cats in the world. Cats have been associated to human life for about 10000 years. Cats spend their time to sleep for about 13 hours a day.

Cats have amazing senses among the animal world. They have exceptional smell, sight, and taste. They also have flexible bodies and sharp teeth that help them to catch their prey. Cats also have an incredible night vision six times better than human.

There are several terms about the cats. A male cat is called a tom. A female is called a molly or queen. The young cat is called kittens. Then, a group of cats is called a clowder.

There are many people who keep the cat in their house. The cat has become an valued and honored member of family homes worldwide.

Elephant

he elephant (Family Elephantidae) is the largest land mammal that is still  alive, and family of the Ordo Pachyderm, and the only remaining family of the Ordo Proboscidea. The elephant is one of the animals that exist in Indonesia.        Asian elephants live in India and Southeast Asia, African elephants live in Africa. In Indonesia, elephants live in Sumatra and Kalimantan   
       The elephants body is very big. Elephants have trunks to search food. Elephants have big ears, and a thick and wrinkled skin. The skin colour of an elephant is gray.      
       Elephants belong to the category of herbivores. Elephants spend sixteen hours a day to collect food. Food consists of at least 50% grass, plus leaves, twigs, roots, and a little fruit, seeds and flowers. Because elephants only digest 40% of the food they eat, they have to consume large amounts of food. An adult elephant can consume 140 until 270 kg of food per day. Sixty percent of the food is left in the stomach and is not digested.      
        Elephants move by walking, when elephants walk they make noise. Elephants always move along with the other elephants . Although they have a large body, they are very good swimmers. They can swim for 6 hours and up to a distance of 50 km.      
        Mother elephants are for about 22 months pregnant. At birth a baby elephant has a few teeth series, he weights around 120 kg and has a height of 90 cm.

 Butterflies are part of the class of insects in the order Lepidoptera, along with the moths. Adult butterflies have large, often brightly coloured wings, and conspicuous, fluttering flight. The group comprises the large superfamily Papilionoidea, along with two smaller groups, the skippers (superfamily Hesperioidea) and the moth-butterflies (superfamily Hedyloidea). Butterfly fossils date to the Palaeocene, about 56 million years ago.

    Butterflies have the typical four-stage insect life cycle. Winged adults lay eggs on the food plant on which their larvae, known as caterpillars, will feed. The caterpillars grow, sometimes very rapidly, and when fully developed pupate in a chrysalis. When metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin splits, the adult insect climbs out and, after its wings have expanded and dried, it flies off. Some butterflies, especially in the tropics, have several generations in a year, while others have a single generation, and a few in cold locations may take several years to pass through their whole life cycle.
